More than anything else, he expects the progressive digitisation of the bathroom to lead to more individual comfort and convenience, but also to a stronger emotional bond – encouraged by snug design and more options in terms of equipment.

Alape EW 3: Evolution of a Classic

It’s now 44 years since Goslar-based company Alape developed the built-in washbasin EW 3. The relatively small round basin with the white glaze was designed for installation in horizontal washplace surfaces in sanitary spaces. It was also the first industrially produced basin of its kind.
