The World’s Leading Trade Fair for The Bathroom Experience, Building Services, Energy, Air Conditioning Technology and Renewable Energies – in Frankfurt am Main from 12 to 16 March 2013 will be distinguished by a variety of new themes and special events. “Resource conservation is the subject around which everything at ISH 2013 revolves and, therefore, the focal point of all product segments”, says Wolfgang Marzin, President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Messe Frankfurt.

The bathroom has never been pervaded by such an overwhelming sense of freedom as during this year's Pop up my Bathroom project: an extremely forward-looking concept for future development tendencies, make-believe bathroom scenarios (who's ever heard of a beer garden as the backdrop for a bathroom?) and, above all, an abundance of open sky.

Interview Stefan Seitz: “Wall and floor collections should definitely have a place at the ISH”

At the ISH 2013, some strong products and a wide variety of concepts for walls and floors will be represented for the first time. As part of the 'wall + floor' special show, various suppliers will, over an area of approx. 500 square metres, be showcasing products that include tiles (wall and floor tiles), innovations (plastic coverings and man-made materials), nature (e.g. cork, natural stone or marble) and colour (shades and colourways). Wall + floor will be located centrally in Hall 3.0 and will thus become the main hub for creative furnishing and decoration ideas in the bathroom. In an interview Stefan Seitz, Director Brand Management ISH, talks about the premiere if the new special show.

Interview Andreas Dornbracht - Part 1:
"Barrier-free is a term, that doesn’t whet people’s appetite"

Andreas Dornbracht is regarded as one of the most progressive thinkers in his industry. For a fittings and accessories manufacturer, the family company of the same name that he co-runs has provided an unusual amount of impetus for an integral approach to bathroom design. He also seems to want to help the industry progress towards a more holistic approach in his capacity as president of the German Sanitary Industry Association (Vereinigung Deutsche Sanitärwirtschaft e.V., VDS), the umbrella organisation of the bathroom and sanitary sectors with member associations from industry, specialist wholesale and specialist trades. In the first part of this interview Dornbracht talks about demographic issues.
