Nowadays, bathrooms are not only about functionality and technology, but also about imagination. And to fuel this imagination, some of the sanitary industry’s most creative minds think up new scenarios and ideas for using and designing the bathroom.
The latest trend developments in bathroom design – that was the main topic at this year’s Pop up my Bathroom Atelier trend forum at the ISH 2015. And as announced, the programme didn’t just provide informative lectures and fascinating panel discussions; it also led to some intense debates and talks that went beyond the scope of the actual presentations.
Barrier-free bathrooms don’t exactly have a sexy image. However, it looks as if this image is about to undergo some fundamental changes soon. Because even today bathrooms that conform to the standardised definition of “barrier-free” have to look anywhere near as austere as they did just a few years ago.
At the international ISH trade fair in Frankfurt (10th to 14th March), the “Pop up my Bathroom Atelier” lecture programme will again be shining a spotlight on the latest trend developments in the sanitary industry. The Pop up my Bathroom trend forum provides an abundance of ideas, informative presentations and fascinating panel discussions with distinguished speakers and international participants.
Why is a campaign about imaginary bathrooms so very successful? How meaningful is it to invent stunning images of all the things that are or could be feasible in the bathroom? Wouldn't practical tips be more suitable for creating incentives? After all, there are already so many beautiful bathrooms in ads! And aren't the benefits of modern shower toilets already sufficiently familiar to TV viewers as well?
For many years light was simply reduced to its basic function: providing brightness to enable vision-related tasks to still be done even after dark. Now it has been recognised that light has a tremendous influence on people and their health. Light significantly determines our well-being, it controls our sleep / wake patterns and during the day it regulates the release of a wide range of hormones.
Visitors to the internationally leading trade fair of the sanitary sector (12-16 March 2013 in Frankfurt am Main) now have state-of-the-art access to the ISH with a free application that is available for smartphones and tablets at www.ish2013.com/app. The information provided on the display makes it considerably easier to plan, take part and follow up your visit to the trade fair.
For the ISH 2013, the trend forum "Pop up my Bathroom" will once again be presenting the latest bathroom trends, this time for 2013/14. The trend platform takes a look at both the needs bathroom users are already practising and those that are still unmet and uses them as the basis for developing different types of bathrooms that are intended to meet users' future requirements.
