Vitrium from Duravit: The bath tub with the frame

The Vitrum bathroom collection from Duravit epitomises sensual
rituals in the bathroom and defines itself as a series for a sophisticated and contemporary bathroom culture. The filigree washbasin and the geometric bathroom
furniture aim to exude warmth and cosiness. The new bathtub range blends seamlessly into the
overall concept of Vitrum.
What is special
about design of Christian Werner is the slightly offset, all-round edge of the
bathtub that encloses it like a gentle frame and mirrors Vitrium’s timeless,
formal aesthetic concept. Alongside the decorative aspect, this frame also
fulfills a functional role: This is the ideal space for bathroom utensils such
as essential oils, care products, candles, and a relaxing drink. The
exquisite-looking satin-matt mineral material DuroCast, also found in the
matching washbasins of the range, creates an elegant overall picture.

Not only practical, but also aesthetically clear-cut: the bath with the practical frame is part of the Vitrium Artisan Lines series.

“Each element
has a clear, practical purpose while also retaining an aesthetic purity.
Consequently, the design is more than simply functional, it’s also sensual and timeless,”
said Christian Werner, describing his design philosophy. The Vitrium bathtub,
which rounds off the bathroom range, is a logical continuation of this
approach, and its sleek design language transforms the bathroom into a
feel-good room.
