Human Scale:
5. Fitness in the Bathroom

For many people today, maintaining and training fitness is part of their everyday routine - almost like personal hygiene.
This attitude stems partly from a desire for physical exercise and mental fitness, and partly from the conviction that personal health is one's own responsibility and can be influenced by physical and mental activity as well as diet. So what could be more natural than to do your personal fitness training in the place where you retreat anyway, to look after yourself - your body and your mental balance - and to complement your training with a shower and a cleansing ritual. However, there must always be enough space for exercise and an exercise ball, yoga cushion, spinning bike, exercise bike or balance board - otherwise you will have to move to the bedroom or living room. A cosy atmosphere is conducive to fitness activities. Towels are available for the workout and a shower or whirlpool tub promises regeneration after training. The water in the Kneipp bath revitalises and refreshes. The bathroom thus becomes a place for fitness and relaxation, where sport and wellness merge in perfect harmony
