10:00-10:30 a.m.: ISH 2025 Trends in the Solutions Field Bathrooms

Speaker: Frank A. Reinhardt (FAR.consulting)

In interior design, the bathroom is considered a specialised discipline in which bathroom planners must have both design expertise and technical knowledge as well as a good overview of currently available products. For several years now, they have received support in this area from the Pop up my Bathroom platform - an initiative launched by the Vereinigung deutsche Sanitärwirtschaft e.V. (VDS) and Messe Frankfurt on the occasion of the ISH. This year, Pop up my Bathroom will once again describe future developments in the bathroom as part of a trend exhibition. Trend researcher and curator Frank A. Reinhardt provides an outlook on the trends that will take centre stage this time. Followed by a guided tour of the Pop up my Bathroom exhibition and the hot spots in the bathroom solution field, the trend lecture is the perfect way to start the day at the trade fair.

10:45 - 11:05 am: CEO Talk with Harald Hotop, Kludi

Daniela Heinemann (VDS) in a talk with Harald Hotop of Kludi.

11:15-11:45 a.m.: #germanbathrooms - VDS Basic Study: The Germans and their Bathrooms

Referent: Jens J. Wischmann (VDS)

What do Germans think of their bathrooms? To what extent is it already a living space for them, what is still missing, and what are they prepared to change and invest in? How do they define sustainability in the private bathroom, what do they expect of the bathroom? With #germanbathrooms, the German Sanitary Industry Association (Vereinigung Deutsche Sanitärwirtschaft e.V. - VDS) has conducted a comprehensive baseline study on the current state of private bathrooms in Germany. Together with the market research institute forsa, it was determined what state bathrooms are in and how much renovation is required and what a bathroom should look like. This provides interesting, representative findings for the sanitary industry. VDS Managing Director Jens J. Wischmann will present the most important results of the study in a keynote speech and take his audience on a journey through the German bathroom landscape.

1:00-1:50 pm: Speed Briefing Innovations ISH 2025 - 5 Companies present their ISH Highlights

In compact form, it offers a perfect overview of the new highlights of ISH 2025 in the sanitary room solution area in rapid succession. Who will all be there? Let us surprise you.

4:00-4:30 pm: Industry Talk: The Bathroom as Living Space

Industry Talk with Jeanette Altherr (Lievore + Altherr Désile Park), Christian Werner (Christian Werner Industrial Design), Tilla Goldberg (Ippolito Fleitz Group)

Host: Jens J. Wischmann (VDS)

The bathroom is increasingly becoming a living area in its own right, characterised by intimacy and multifunctionality. Quality of stay and feel-good factors are playing an increasingly important role. In addition, the development of the bathroom into a fully-fledged living space has already come a long way conceptually. However, even if this is in line with the wishes of bathroom users and the bathroom culture that is practised in some cases, and therefore gives rise to expectations of a high aesthetic and homely quality in the bathroom, in reality bathrooms still do not fulfil this requirement often enough. Many bathrooms are therefore waiting for a trend update. Jens J. Wischmann discusses the challenges of transforming the bathroom into a living space with design professionals Jeannette Altherr, Tilla Goldberg and Christian Werner.
