In a panel with a strong line-up, three women will discuss their importance in the trades. The CEOs of Geberit and Villeroy & Boch will be on hand to answer questions at the CEO Talks. Another topic is the presentation of the DesignPlus Award. The lecture forum will open with an overview of the most important trends in the bathroom.

11:00-11:30 h: The 10 most important trends in the bathroom

Speaker: Frank A. Reinhardt (FAR.consulting)

With the daily lecture on the 10 most important trends in the bathroom, the Pop up my Bathroom Atelier starts its fifth edition. Which trends influence the function and appearance of the bathroom? Trend researcher and design journalist Frank A. Reinhardt describes the four current ISH trends - Emotional, Sustainable, Wellbeing and Tiny Bathroom - and identifies the developments that are relevant for the bathroom.

11:45-12:15 h: Trend talk: Cosiness in the bathroom

Trend-Talk with the designers Sebastian Herkner und Christian Werner

Host: Frank A. Reinhardt (FAR.consulting)

Hardly any design trend has shaped the bathroom in recent years as much as the trend towards cosiness: warm materials such as wood or textiles, furniture, carpets or even a decorative wall and floor design are the components for a homely private spa. Also, the materials now cope with the temperature and humidity climate of the bathroom. But sufficient storage space is also crucial for the feel-good factor of the bathroom: because tidied up, the bathroom is twice as beautiful. In the Trend Talk, Frank A. Reinhardt discusses homely bathroom design with his guests.

12:30-12:50 h: CEO-Talk with Cyril Stutz (Geberit)

Host: Nikolaus Klein (SHK-TV)

Cyril Stutz, who studied electrical engineering, joined Geberit International AG in Switzerland in November 2016 after various positions in product development at Schneider Electric, an MBA and further professional experience as a management consultant. He has been responsible for the Ceramics and Furniture product line since March 2020. On 1. September 2022, Cyril Stutz took up the position as Managing Director of Geberit Vertriebs GmbH Deutschland. At the CEO Talk with Nikolaus Klein (SHK-TV), Cyril Stutz talks about economic developments, innovations and Geberit's support for the SHK trade, among other things.

13:00-13:30 h: ISH talk: The trends in The Bathroom Experience

ISH Talk with designers Gesa Hansen and Florian Kallus and Sebastian Schneider from kaschkasch

Host: Frank A. Reinhardt (FAR.consulting)

Sustainable, Tiny, Wellbeing, Emotional: the Pop up my Bathroom trend platform has identified these four trends for this year's ISH. Over the next few years, these four trends will be of decisive importance for holistic bathroom planning. The panel of renowned creatives will talk about trend developments for the small bathroom, explore the options for sustainable bathroom design, transfer wellbeing to the bathroom at home and work out the emotional side of bathroom design.

13:45-14:30 h: Trend Talk: Sustainable Bathroom

Trend-Talk with Dr. Susanne Steinhauer (burgbad), Steffen Erath (hansgrohe) und Andreas Braun (ZVSHK)

Host: Jens J. Wischmann (VDS)

Sustainability has long since become an important topic in society. Conserving resources is the order of the day everywhere. Especially in the bathroom, where a third of the daily drinking water requirement is used for showering, bathing and personal hygiene. But it is not only about saving drinking water. The topic is more complex. In the Sustainable Bathroom panel talk, sustainability in the bathroom is presented as a concept for the future. On the one hand, the panel looks at the interplay of smart products that save water and energy, environmentally friendly industrial production, the use of sustainable materials and durable design. On the other hand consumer trends such as zero waste will be discussed.

15:00-15:20 h: CEO-Talk with Georg Lörz (Villeroy & Boch)

Host: Nikolaus Klein (SHK-TV)

Georg Lörz began his professional career in marketing at L'OREAL in Karlsruhe, where he held various management positions over many years, with stops in Paris and the Asian region. As Head of Sales and Marketing for Bathroom and Wellness, he also looked after the overall interests of the Division as spokesman at Villeroy & Boch. In July 2020, Georg Lörz was appointed to the Management Board by the Supervisory Board of Villeroy & Boch AG with responsibility for the Bathroom and Wellness Division. In the CEO Talk, Georg Lörz talks about the collection principle, craft-oriented advertising and 275 years of tradition, among other things.

15:30-16:00 h: Award presentation DesignPlus

The DesignPlus competition awards prizes for sustainable products that combine sustainability, aesthetics and functionality and is one of the most renowned competitions in Germany. On the stage of the Pop up my Bathroom Atelier, Iris Jeglitza-Moshage (Messe Frankfurt) and Lutz Diezold (German Design Council) will present the awards to the winners selected by a top-class jury.

16:15-17:00: Industry talk: Women in the skilled crafts sector

Industry talk with Sandra Hunke (Das Baumädchen), Lena Hinz (MH Michael Hinz) and Sandra Hettinger (Villeroy & Boch)

Host: Jens J. Wischmann (VDS)

The skilled crafts sector is still male-dominated. Only about 12 percent of all employed women work in craft professions. And this is despite the fact that the skilled crafts sector in general has been lacking young talent for some time. Host Jens J. Wischmann talks to successful women craftspeople and the head of crafts sales at Villeroy & Boch about their motivation to take up a craft profession, career opportunities and how more women can be inspired to take up the craft.
