Thursday
is industry day in the ISH lecture programme Pop up my Bathroom Atelier. The
topic of hygienically safe drinking water will be presented by figawa with a
lecture on materials in contact with drinking water and
on the "Fit for Drinking Water" training initiative. The VdZ is
offering four start-ups the opportunity to present their companies in a
networking event. And the industry talk is about the next generation of
craftsmen. Guests at the CEO Talks today are the managing directors of Laufen
and Bette. The Trend Talks are about hotel bathrooms and the big topic of the
future: Tiny Bathrooms.
10:00-10:30 h: The 10 most important trends in the bathroom
Speaker: Frank A. Reinhardt (FAR.consulting)
With the daily lecture on the 10 most important
trends in the bathroom, the Pop up my Bathroom Atelier starts its fifth
edition. Which trends influence the function and appearance of the bathroom?
Trend researcher and design journalist Frank A. Reinhardt describes the four
current ISH trends - Emotional, Sustainable, Wellbeing and Tiny Bathroom - and
identifies the developments that are relevant for the bathroom.
10:45-11:15 h: Hygienically safe drinking water I - materials in contact with drinking water
Speaker: Volker Meyer (EDW)
The hygienic requirements for materials in contact with drinking water have been laid down for the first time at European level in the EU Drinking Water Directive. A positive list agreed at European level will make it possible to use materials uniformly in Europe in future. This requires some working aids for the industry and the responsible planners. The aim is to increase the high hygienic quality of products uniformly throughout Europe. Volker Meyer will present the latest developments in his lecture.
11:30-11:50: CEO-Talk with Antonio Linares (Laufen)
Host: Ings Wegemann (SHK-TV)
Antonio Linares joined the Roca
Group in 2003, where he held various positions in corporate development and
marketing. Since November 2019, he has been the new Senior Managing Director of Laufen and the Central North Europe division of the Roca Group. At the CEO
Talk, Linares talks about innovations, collaborations with renowned designers
and the special nature of Laufen's presentations.
12:00-12:30 h: Industry Talk: The function of hotel bathrooms in hospitality design
Talk guests: Stefan Hoske (Axor) and Corinna Kretschmar-Joehnk (JOI Design)
Host: Frank A. Reinhardt (FAR.consulting)
For
many guests, the bathroom plays an important role when choosing a hotel. With
their modern equipment and high-quality products, they offer a good start to
the day and ensure relaxation in the evening. They reflect current trends and
are thus often a source of inspiration for one's own bathroom - especially with
regard to Tiny Bathrooms. Together with his guests, Frank A. Reinhardt takes a
look at current developments in the hotel bathroom segment and what can be
implemented in the private spa.
12:45-13:15 h: Startup@ISH Pitches
Host: Kerstin Stratmann (VdZ)
With the Startup@Pitches, VdZ presents young companies from
the sanitary industry at ISH 2023. For the water sector, three start-ups will
present their innovative products and services at the Pop up my Bathroom
Atelier. The audience will receive interesting information on motivation,
innovation and orientation of the start-ups in a condensed form.
13:30-13:50 h: CEO Talk with Thilo C. Pahl (Bette)
Host: Nikolaus Klein (SHK-TV)
After training as an energy electronics technician at Miele & Cie. in Gütersloh, Thilo C. Pahl completed a degree in mechanical engineering at RWTH University in Aachen, Germany. On the 1st January 2011, Pahl took up his position as managing partner at the Delbrück-based company Bette GmbH & Co. KG. At the CEO Talk he talks about the importance of the bathtub for the bathroom, the effectiveness of green steel and the significance of showrooms for the industry.
14:00-14:45 h: Industry talk: How can we get youngsters interested in the trades?
Talk guests: Birgit Jünger
(ZVSHK), Jörg Wermes (SHK-Innung Köln), Jürgen Ruckdeschel (Local Branding Expert Group)
Host: Dennis Jäger (SBZ)
Shortage
of skilled workers in the HVEC trade? There
is not, quite the opposite is the case. But there
is no question: the demand for skilled workers in the HVEC trade has increased
enormously. Pressure is building up, especially on the subject of heat pumps.
But long before the cry for more craftsmen was heard, the HVEC trade
organisation initiated campaigns to present the profession in an attractive
light. In the meantime, craft enterprises are benefiting from this. Despite
many activities, there are still some open flanks. In order to attract more
staff, HVEC companies should create conditions that, for example, inspire more
women to take up the trade. The industry talk will address this and other
points and show how craft entrepreneurs can strengthen the current positive
momentum.
15:00-15:30 h: Hygienically safe drinking water II - "Fit for Drinking Water"
Speaker: Andreas Braun (ZVSHK) , Stefan
Tuschy and Lars Neveling (figawa)
Further education and training in hygiene in drinking water
installations is currently receiving additional legal support. The EU Drinking
Water Directive must be implemented in Germany with a revised Drinking Water
Ordinance. Due to this development, the sanitary associations BTGA, figawa and ZVSHK have set up a
nationally uniform further training plan "Hygiene in drinking water
installations". Lars Neveling will present the most important information
on this training initiative in this lecture.
15:45-16:30 h: Trend Talk: Tiny Bathrooms
Talk guests:
Sven Rensinghoff (Bette), Andrea Wirges-Klein (wirges-klein architekten) und Frank A. Reinhardt (FAR.consulting)
Host: Jens J. Wischmann (VDS)
The compact bathroom is no longer limited to the guest
bathroom. Under the heading of urban living, industry and bathroom planning are
offering innovative, customised solutions for small floor plans. But what are
the technical requirements for a Tiny Bathroom? What solutions does the
industry offer? And what needs to be considered when planning this highly
demanding task? These and other questions will be discussed in this panel talk.
17:00-17:45 h: Evening talk: Technical regulations and generally recognised codes of practice
Talk guests: Rainer Kryschi, Felicitas Floßdorf, Olaf Heinecken
Host: Moderation: Volker Meyer (figawa)
